His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih  launched the COVID-19 Dhifaau campaign on 1st February 2021 with the aim to provide free COVID-19 vaccines to all citizens and residents of the country.

Since then, the Maldives have positioned itself as a nation with some of the highest vaccinated percentage per population. I'm Vaccinated Campaign's target is to encourage all tourism industry workforce to be fully vaccinated and to make Maldives one of the first fully vaccinated tourism sectors in the world.
